Legal Liability Training
Demonstrate knowledge and application of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993 (OHSA) (as amended) and the responsibilities of management in terms of the Act.
This training enables learners to apply basic health and safety legislation in the form of standards and procedures governing health and safety when working with hazardous chemicals in the workplace.
Duration: 1 Day Training
Successful Candidates Credited With This Unit Standard Are Able To:
- Explaining the basic principles of the Act and accompanying Regulations.
- Explaining the requirements for minimum compliance stipulated in the Act.
- Interpreting the management controls required to achieve compliance.
- Explaining the obligations of managers in terms of communication and training.
