The Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 has repealed the Machinery Occupational Safety Act 6 of 1983. The Occupational Health & Safety Act 85 of 1993 is legislation approved by the Department of Labour which assists organizations with a set law. This law provides a set of rules and regulations that every employer must subscribe to with their workplace.
