Answer three quick questions and we’ll suggest accredited BConsult qualifications that match your interests, your level and your goal — plus the next step to take.

How learnerships work

A learnership is a structured programme that combines classroom learning with real work experience — and leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

  1. 1

    Apply & register

Enquire, meet the entry requirements, and get registered on a programme that fits your goals.

  2. 2

    Work-readiness

Before anything else, you’re prepared for the workplace — email, professionalism, Microsoft, office etiquette.

  3. 3

    Learn & practise

Facilitated knowledge and practical sessions build the skills the qualification requires.

  4. 4

    Workplace experience

You apply those skills with a host employer — often the step that leads to a permanent job.

  5. 5

    Qualify

You complete your external assessment and earn a nationally recognised, accredited qualification.

What is the NQF?

The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) is how South Africa ranks qualifications by level, from NQF 1 (basic) to NQF 10 (doctoral). Most BConsult learnerships sit between NQF 2 and NQF 6 — a Matric usually opens NQF 4–5 programmes, and each qualification builds toward the next.

What does it cost me?

Many learnerships are funded by employers or SETA grants, and learners often receive a stipend during the programme. Enquire about the specific programme you’re interested in and we’ll explain the options.

Who can apply?

It depends on the qualification, but most programmes need at least a Grade 9–12, South African ID, and the motivation to complete. Some are aimed at unemployed youth; others at people already working who want to upskill.

Will my qualification be recognised?

Yes. BConsult qualifications are accredited through the QCTO and SETAs, so they’re nationally recognised — and our 45 QCTO qualifications are future-proof beyond the 2027 legacy deadline.
